A short preflight list that helps avoid delays and unexpected changes to the finished print.
Write down the final width and height in millimetres, and say whether the design is for a shirt, label, banner or another product. Screen dimensions and print dimensions are not interchangeable. If you need bleed or a safe margin, confirm the requirement for your chosen product before exporting.
Use the highest-resolution original artwork available. A small image downloaded from a messaging app may look acceptable on a phone but become soft when enlarged. Keep logos as vector artwork where possible, and check that text remains readable at the actual print size. Convert fonts to outlines or include the font information when supplying an editable file.
Screen colours are only a preview. Tell us if a brand colour must be matched closely, and discuss material and finishing before approving the job. Transparent stickers, fabric and coated paper can reproduce the same design differently.
Check spelling, numbers, names, quantities, orientation and crop marks. For jerseys, verify every name, number and size in the list. Production starts after the required payment and artwork approval, so send one clearly labelled final version rather than several competing files.
See our artwork guide or ask for help if your file needs checking.
